Chips & Ink, Ltd. is a full service graphic design and web development company with expertise in electronic and print media, and enterprise solutions on the web and in the world of print and communications media.

One of the principals teaches New Media in Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism.  We have a strong affinity to clients in the arts and for those with a strong social conscience.

Principals

Alan Brooks has 25 years experience in computing, managing computing teams and teaching client-server and web classes.  Following his PhD work in Social Psychology at University of Colorado from 1980-1983 (unfinished), he began work in high-performance databases, and has extended that career into a broad range of web projects.  Recently he has been teaching New Media Studies at Columbia’s Graduate School of Journalism as an Adjunct Professor.  He published a childrens book with Scholastic and regularly does conference presentations and in-house seminars on web technology, security and design

Cheryl Taylor holds an illustration degree from Rhode Island School of Design, has worked in web design for 15 years and has illustrated 8 children’s books with major publishing houses, as well as doing illustrations for magazines and graphic design for a variety of commercial clients and clients in the arts.
